From May 6th to 8th, 2025, SMP Islam Al Azhar 28 proudly held the Student English Camp 2025 at Wisma Abdi, Puncakāa three-day immersive language camp designed to nurture students’ English skills, build character, and spark joy in learning through real-life experiences.
š£ A Message from the Principal
“We are here to gain new knowledge and experience through English Camp activities.
For 3 days, you will interact, collaborate, and be creative in English.
I hope that through this English Camp activity, your skills in communicating using English actively will improve.
Finally, I adviseĀ all students toĀ maintain good manners (adab) in all activities.

š Day 1: Speak with Confidence, Connect with the World
The adventure began with a warm send-off and travelled to Puncak. After check-in, students met the mentors and were grouped into teams for a full day of English immersion.
The first session, Effective Public Speaking, led by Mr. Ozy, helped students express themselves confidently. After lunch, Ms. Iqra (a native speaker from Canada) shared her story in the session “Living in Canada,” inspiring everyone.
Exciting games, fun talked with native speakers like Mr. Mahdi and his child, and a body language session wrapped up the afternoon. Evening activities included the Cup Songs Challenge and group performance prep!
ā” Day 2: Explore, Express, and Empower
Day two began with English warmed-up and pronunciation drills. Students learned storytelling techniques and practiced fluency through interactive games.
The highlight? The thrilling English Treasure Hunt! Students raced from station to station completing challenges in Englishātesting teamwork and bravery.
In the afternoon, a Talk Show with Native Speakers gave students the chance to ask real questions about studying abroad. Evening talent auditions were packed with creativityāfrom comedy to storytelling!
š¢ Day 3: Memories, Safari, and Meaningful Closure
Students began the day with Subuh prayer, Qurāan recitation, and a touching kultum delivered by one of their peersāa spiritual start to a fun-filled day.
Next, they explored Taman Safari Indonesia, describing animals in English, enjoying the rides, and sharing laughter with friends amidst nature.
After lunch and final reflections, it was time to head homeāwith hearts full and spirits lifted.

Student English Camp 2025 was more than just a school eventāit was a celebration of courage, growth, and connection.
Students came home not only with stronger English, but also with lasting memories and meaningful friendships.
